ADDIT3D 2018

Next Thursday, May 31st, our colleague Jesús Sesé, manager of the Additive Manufacturing area, will participate in the 3rd edition of the International Fair of Additive Manufacturing and 3D Addit3D, organized by the Bilbao Exhibition Center (BEC) and ADDIMAT.
Representing Aciturri, Jesús will give the lecture " Some challenges of the Aerospace Industry for Additive Manufacturing", as part of the session "Industrial Case Studies I: Aeronautical Focus", moderated by Iñigo Agote, Project Director of TECNALIA, and in which will also participate Jorge Vilanova, from Airbus Defence & Space, and Fernando Lasagni, Head of Materials and Processes Division of CATEC.
The presentation, which will include a brief introduction on Aciturri Additive, will focus on our vision on how to make the aerospace and additive manufacturing sectors converge. To do this, he will review the changes we have made in Aciturri, the adaptation of technologies, the certification and qualification of the different processes, and their application to detail parts and tooling; to conclude with some of the challenges that must be faced to make the additive technology be industrially viable in the aerospace sector.
Addit3d 2018 will take place in Bilbao between May 28 and June 1, as part of the 30th BIEMH (International Machine Tool Biennial), the largest current exhibition platform in the industry 4.0.
With an attendance of more than 40,000 visitors, BIEMH 2018 will guarantee Addit3D a unique context with presence of manufacturers and distributors of the main industrial and advanced manufacturing markets in the country.
