Aciturri has hosted a new meeting of the Executive Board of Space Spain, a sectorial association in which our Supply Chain manager, Sergio Camps, acts as general secretary.
Space Spain focuses its work on the improvement of the industrial performance and the competitiveness in the aeronautical supply chain. To achieve this goal, it counts on the participation of various Spanish aeronautical companies and OEMs with a presence in our country.
The organization promotes collective and individual projects that imply significant improvements in quality and result in cost reduction throughout the aerospace value chain.
In the Executive Committee held today at our facilities in Miranda de Ebro, Teresa Escolano (Purchasing and Logistics Director of Alestis), Manuel Santaolalla (Head of Supply Chain Quality Procurement at Airbus Operations), Alberto Salguero (HO Supply Chain Operations & Logistics Spain en Airbus Defence & Space), José Ignacio Ceballos (Vice President of Supply Chain in Aernnova), Eugenio Blanco (Operational Director of SPACE Spain) and Sergio Camps (director of Supply Chain of Aciturri).
Together, we´ve reviewed the evolution of the projects developed since the launch of Space Spain, with special attention to the APQP collective project of standardization initiatives. Also, we´ve discussed the nominations for the Space Spain’s Annual Awards, that recognizes those members that have made the greatest progress in industrial performance by carrying out an improvement project.
In addition, we´ve proposed new training initiatives for 2020, based on the evaluations of the projects developed up to now, from which we´ve acquired knowledge and improvement opportunities.
