The Systems and Product Definition departments of Aciturri have implemented a new program for structural calculus processes that allows us to reduce process times in this area by 84%.
Aciturri has defined a system for the management of calculus queues that has been developed by the company MSC Software and has been installed in two new servers acquired to implement this improvement.
After defining and parameterizing the necessary system architecture, our colleagues have successfully tested several versions of the program, which is already operational.
The times needed for the calculation of the first pieces have been reduced significantly with this system, with a positive perception of the business user.
This new system is particularly suitable for structural calculus processes that require using tools of high consumption of time and machinery resources; such as finite elements calculation or those that involve multiple data load situations or a great variety of elements to analyse.
In addition to this improvement for process times, this new advance may allow us to increase the licenses availability for new products by approximately 50%.
Although this type of systems, mainly used in activities related to Product Definition, the new program can be used by other Aciturri engineering areas, thus optimizing processes that require time-consuming or resource-intensive applications.
