The EFCL highlights the founding family of Aciturri as an example of rootedness and commitment to the future of Castilla y León.

Empresa Familiar de Castilla y León (EFCL) has once again highlighted the importance of values in the business families of Castilla y León during the award ceremony of its XIX EFCL "Antonio Pérez" Award held on November 25 in Valladolid with the sponsorship of Unicaja Banco.

This was highlighted by the president of EFCL, Rocío Hervella, who gave as an example the roots, engagement and long-term commitment of the Clemente Zárate family, founder of Aciturri, values which have made them worthy of this award. The award was collected by Ginés Clemente, executive president of Aciturri, from the hands of the vice-president of the Junta de Castilla y León, Francisco Igea.

During the inauguration, the president of EFCL emphasized the entrepreneurial spirit of Ginés, who thanks to his tenacity and vision of the future has been able to turn the business project he founded in 1977 in Miranda de Ebro (Burgos) into a reference brand in the international aerospace sector with a high technological component, a creator of qualified employment and a developer of auxiliary industrial fabric. It is the only top-level aeronautical supplier with 100% Spanish capital.

Likewise, unity was valued as a key element in this trajectory, which is manifested in the coexistence in the management of the company of the first and second generation of the family, with the incorporation 20 years ago of María Eugenia Clemente, who leads the development of Alestis Aerospace, a subsidiary company of Aciturri acquired in July 2019.

After collecting the award, Ginés referred to "commitment to our land, optimism, humility, respect, trust and passion" as the values that identify and are engraved in the DNA of business families, and highlighted as a hallmark of the family business the inclination to serve. "For us, to lead is to serve people. Whoever does not live to serve, is not good for life. We are convinced that our best contribution is service, and example must be our best speech", he said.

As Gines personally pointed out at the end of his speech, we share this recognition with the Boards of Directors of the Aciturri Group companies, staff and families. We also especially thank Caja de Burgos, since its support for the Aciturri project was and is a determining factor.
