Sergio Camps, Director of Supply Chain in Aciturri, participated on June 27 in the third edition of the International Aeronautical and Space Congress CIAG, organized by the Galician Aeronautical Consortium in Santiago de Compostela.
The event brought together a diverse sample of representatives of the aerospace and aeronautics industry -OEMs, Tier 1, international organizations and governmental entities- with the aim of sharing new lines of action for the industry, as well as their knowledge and assessment on the expected future of the sector.
Aciturri´s exposition was focused on improvement opportunities for the supply chain, with special emphasis on the permanent specialization that requires its professionalization.
"Taking time to think about how we can do things, instead of justifying why we can´t do them" was the main idea remarked as essential in this path, which also requires "knowledge, innovation, and a strong internalization".
During the day, also participated as speakers Enrique Mallón, President of Galician Aeronautical Consortium (CAG); Sergio Prieto. territorial director of ICEX; Xosé Sánchez Bugallo, mayor of Santiago de Compostela; Antonio Velázquez, director of Aeroclúster Querétaro (Mexico); Federico Pérez, secretary of Liaison at the Aeronautics University in Querétaro (Mexico); Patricia Argerey, general director of Axencia Galega de Innovación (Gain); Javier Barcala, director of Air Vehicles, Defense and Security of Indra; José Luis Saiz, director of R + D + i of Babcock Mission Critical Services Spain; Santiago Hernánde, professor at the University of A Coruña; Adolfo Sánchez; founding partner of S4A Solutions For Aviation and Larry Ley, responsible for Research and Technology at Boeing.
With all of them we reviewed topics such as the state of the aerospace industry in Mexico, sustainability in aeronautical development, and R&D initiatives such as Stratofly, Targus and Civil UAV's.
For Aciturri, it has been a pleasure to be part of this congress, one of the most complete at the level of development, program and support in which we have participated lately.
