Safran Aircraft Engines distinguishes Acturri for its excellence as LEAP engine supplier
Aciturri Aeroengines has received the award with which the company Safran Aicraft Engines recognizes every two years the important work of its supply chain. The award distinguishes Aciturri Aeorengines for its contribution to the ramp up of the LEAP engine, which in its different variants equips the A320neo, A321neo, Boeing 737 Max and Comac C919 aircraft.
Itziar Díez, Director of Operations of Aciturri Aeroengines, collected the award in the framework of the CFM Cincinnati Symposium, an event in which CFM - a consortium composed by General Electric and Safran Aircraft Engines – biennially meets its main suppliers. In this edition Safran recognized the contribution of 4 of the 150 companies that currently supply components for the LEAP project.
For pur company, this is an important recognition of the effort made in the installation and implementation of the necessary capacities, in addition to the development of a robust industrialization process, which allows us to meet the demands of the program. The current delivery frequency of the FHF, one of the main components that we manufacture for LEAP, is 12 pieces per week; and we are delivering 15 per week.
Aciturri Aeroengines began manufacturing structural engine parts in 2013 with the development of components for the TRV (Turbine Rear Vane). Today it has long-term contracts until 2025, positioning Aciturri's engine division as a first-class supplier in the Safran Aircraft Engines supply chain, both due to the criticality of the parts and because it is the main source of supply.
